A true Oregonian who learned by building
I’m a true Oregonian, born and raised in the state I’m proud to call home. Growing up in a small town, I learned the value of hard work and problem-solving from my father, who taught me how to fix things around the house. With the purchase of my first home, I took on the challenge of remodeling it from the ground up, gaining hands-on experience in roofing, siding, framing, window replacement, insulation, electrical work, drywall, finish carpentry, and HVAC.
My experience later expanded when my wife and I built our own home, a duplex barndominium, and a traditional post-frame barn. Throughout these projects, I identified construction deficiencies that saved us thousands of dollars and prevented future headaches, reinforcing the importance of attention to detail and addressing potential problems early.
From patrol to property
I later served as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in the Patrol Division, where I developed strong investigative, observational, and critical-thinking skills. My law enforcement background taught me to look beyond the obvious, recognize potential concerns, and approach every situation methodically.
My wife and I also owned and operated our own business for nearly a decade before selling it to pursue the next chapter with TRUELINE Home Inspections. That experience taught me the importance of providing excellent service, following through on commitments, and building lasting relationships based on trust and integrity.
Why it matters to me
As a husband and father of two young boys, I understand the importance of protecting what matters most. I take pride in treating every property as if I were evaluating it for my own family, while building a business that I hope my boys will someday have the opportunity to carry forward.
Today, I bring my construction knowledge, investigative experience, and business ownership background together to provide thorough, honest, and straightforward home inspections. My goal is to help buyers, sellers, and homeowners better understand their property's condition so they can make informed decisions with confidence.
